A partnership between the China Golf Association and the World Sport Group, the China Tour began with four three-day events in 2005.
The following year, it comprised six four-day events, each with a US$100,000 pool of prize money, and has grown by two events each year.
The Tour is aimed at giving China's top golfers a solid foundation on which to build a professional career, by providing a consistent platform of well-managed tournaments and a prize money pool that will enable the successful players to dedicate themselves more fully to their chosen career.
